Drs. Nick Karras and Sayaka Adachi are San Diego based Sexologists.  What do sexologists do?  They study human sexual behavior and how people feel about those behaviors with non-judgmental eyes.  Nick and Sayaka take their job seriously, and they are very possibly the most open minded, non-judgmental people you would ever encounter.  They use the PLISSIC model (P=Permission giving, LI=Limited Information, SS=Specific Suggestion, and IC=Intensive Coaching) to help people get in touch with their authentic sexual self.  
They are also part of the Orgasm Team at San Diego Sexual Medicine at Alvarado Hospital. They work with Sexual Medicine Physician, Dr. Irwin Goldstein, AASECT Certified Sex Therapist, Dr. Mary Clark, Pelvic Floor Specialist (Physical Therapist) and Ontological Coach, Dr. Lilian Arleque. 
They teach at college campuses, support groups, erotic conventions, and several international destinations. They have appeared on CBS and several Radio Stations locally and internationally.

Nick and Sayaka's Philosophy

Just like our physical appearance and personality, we believe that each one of us has a unique sexual identity and preferences.  We also believe that sexual energy is a Life Force Energy, and that when we flow it freely and authentically, we tend to have everything in our life working for us.

Instead of trying to conform everyone to a hypothetical "ideal" sexual being, why not celebrate the diversity? As long as it is among consenting adults, your sex life is uniquely yours and you have every right to love it and feel empowered by it. Unfortunately, the mass society tends to not support our philosophy, and thus does a lot of damage to our sexual beings. Bombarded with shame and guilt, it is no wonder why many people are not happy with their sex life. That's why we help you get in touch with your sexual core that is uniquely yours and beautiful just as your soul is. You can peel off years of sexual misinformation, repression, guilt and shame. Above all, we give you permission to be who you truly are, so you can get out of your own way to happiness. 


Dr. Sayaka Adachi is a certified Sexuality Educator, Clinical Sexologist, Orgasm Coach, and Life Coach specilized in Sexuality. She was a school psychologist with a Master’s degree in Special Education and credential in school psychology before going on to earn her Doctorate degree in Human Sexuality.

Born and raised in Japan, Sayaka brings a uniquely enlivening style to her practice, one that blends Eastern sexual traditions and current Western information. Her vibrant teaching methods encourage women and men to discover new erotic possibilities, ones that include a deeper love of self and greater sexual confidence with others. 

Because of her friendly yet professional demeanor, Sayaka is a highly sought after teacher for the most intimate subjects.  Her "Blow Him Away!" class, as well as pleasure products parties are considered San Diego's ultimate Girls-Night-In, and have helped 100s of women be more sexually empowered while having a lot of fun.
Dr. Nick Karras is a man of many talents. He is a photographer and the author of Petals, a break-through book presenting stunningly beautiful images of vulvas. A documentary of his work on the project is the subject of an award-winning film. The varied range of his erotic photography has been exhibited in many venues and media – the Seattle Erotic Arts Festival, the Los Angeles Museum of Sex, Victoria Erotica Festival, Bravo TV (UK), VaginaFest events, and more.

Nick is also a teacher. His Doctorate degree in Sexology was awarded by the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (IASHS) in San Francisco. Aside from teaching photographic skills at various Lifestyle conventions and festivals, he has been a featured speaker and workshop leader at SSSS (The Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality) and ASEP (Association of Sexual Energy Professionals).

Because of his necessarily intimate and honest encounters with women and men in sensuous settings, Nick has gained unique insights into both the fantasies and the reality of human beings. His investigation into taboo subjects has allowed him to experience the basic nature of most sexual problems. His inventive approach to the life’s sexual dilemmas combined with his delicate aesthetic sense make him an outstanding personal mentor.
